Men after God’s Heart

A residential weekend for men at Rydal Hall  - Friday 4th to Sunday 6th October 2024

The beautiful landscape of the Lake District offers the perfect space to deepen faith, have fun and forge new friendships with men from churches across Lancashire. The weekend will include relevant teaching that will challenge us to lead lives that honour Jesus. With engaging worship, opportunities to pray and to be prayed for. As well as the chance to walk, chat and unwind in a relaxed atmosphere (including the bar in the evening).

The aim of the event is to support churches who have a number of men already involved a little, or on the periphery. It is not always easy to live the Christian life in our society, so our hope is to inspire and prepare men to take their next steps in Christian faith, service and witness.

The teaching theme for the weekend ‘Men after God’s Heart’, looks at some key events in King David’s life found in 1 & 2 Samuel and explores their application to us. Revd Steve Haskett, the Diocesan Parish Renewal Programme Lead and ex Police Officer will be our guest speaker, along with Mike and Alex.

Rydal Hall is set near to Ambleside with views of the surrounding hills and within easy walking distance of Rydal Water and Grasmere. There is nowhere better – to consider life’s biggest questions and challenges than in this stunning setting. There are 50 spaces available with a range of accommodation available to suit most budgets.
We have a range of accommodation available to suit most budgets (see below) and bed spaces will be attributed on a first come first served basis. 17 Single Rooms - £165 each 13 Twin Rooms for two to share - £125 each 10 Dorm spaces (5 per Dorm, all lower bunks) - £90 each
